Our beginnings…
The Fraser Valley Event Professionals Association (previously called the Fraser Valley Event Planning Association) was formed in 2008 by a small group of like-minded Fraser Valley event planning professionals who literally met around their kitchen tables. After a year of meetings and much hard work, Fraser Valley Event Professionals Association became a reality as a registered not-for-profit association. The founders include Sarah Bolton, Teresa Cahill-Closs, George Merry, Barb Nelson and Lynn O’Brien.
Today our vision is simple, to support, grow and empower a network of influential event professionals. We are on a mission to provide event professionals with meaningful opportunities to connect, collaborate and growth their business through relationship building, professional development, and mentorship.
FVEPA has been met with much enthusiasm by planning professionals throughout the region and beyond. Membership is open to anyone involved in event planning or related business, although we meet and often reside in the Fraser Valley, we have a diverse group of members from all over our province. This includes businesses and individuals bringing events into the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland as well as those working with planners and suppliers who are based in the Fraser Valley but may be looking at event venues and services in other regions.
